Pre-School Graduation 2017

The Pre-school graduation party will be held on 19/08/2017 . The party starts at 12 noon and will finish at 3.00pm.

We have a fun filled afternoon planned to celebrate our pre-school children heading to big school! There will be a buffet, sweet cart, lots of presents and Stevie will be coming for a sing-a-long session with his guitar! We are so excited but so sad to see the children leave us.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES The Pre-School Children went for a walk to the local post office to post some letters and of course got some sweets from the shop.

Diwali

The children have been learning about the story of Diwali and beginning to make Diwali lamps. The children will be participating in different activities and will continue to learn about India during the country of the month.

Visit to the Lollipop Lady

The children left the nursery to visit the Lollipop Lady outside of Corby Old Village Primary School. They all learnt about road safety and what the Lollipop Lady does. Once returning to nursery, the children made Lollipop Lady signs and enjoyed colouring in Lollipop Lady pictures on the Smart Board.

Visit to the Church

For the Harvest Festival, our children visited St. John’s Baptist church where they met with Paul the vicar where they learned about the Harvest festival, being appreciative of the food we have and they even learned a new song and dance!

Country of the Month

Every month the children in Pre-School learn about a different country. The children explore that country, learn about the cities and landmarks, taste the different foods and celebrating the different festival linked to that country.

Parent’s Evening

Thank you to all the parents who attended our parent’s evening. It was a great opportunity for parents to chat with their child’s key worker and discuss their child’s progress and look at their child’s report. We appreciate any feedback on how you felt the evening went.

Singing & Stories with Stevie Rigsby

Stevie Rigsby regularly visits the Nursery. His sessions include singing, dancing, instrument playing and telling exciting stories to the children. The children are encouraged to all take part and really enjoy themselves.

Church Visit

The children went on a walk to St. John’s Baptist Church. They had the opportunity to look around the church as the care takers explained the different things they do in the church and gave the children the opportunity to do some of the things that they do day to day such as ringing the church bells, which all of the children really enjoyed!
